PAR Windows Printer Utility (Winprint)

The Par Windows Printing program, WinPrint, sends PAR printer output to any Windows or network printer. If installing the WinPrint program for the first time, skip to the First Time Installation section, below.
Winprint programs on this page support RTF (Rich Text Format) printing. If you require a version that does not support RTF printing, contact Specialty Software.
If updating from version 1.03.04 (or earlier), go to Uninstall Winprint and then choose the First Time Installation, below. Otherwise, go to Winprint Update section. Finally, check that the Windows Printing option is set the 'Y' in Par/System Parameters/Printer Setup.
To Determine Current WinPrint Version:
Click START, RUN and in the Run Box, type:
C:\PAR\WINPRINT /v <enter>
(ignore any RTF messages).
Uninstall Winprint:
1) Click START, SETTINGS (if available), CONTROL PANEL and choose Add or Remove Programs.
2) In the Add Remove Programs listing, click the WinPrint entry and click the Add/Remove or Change/Remove button. If asked to remove a specific file, choose to keep it. It's possible, though unlikely, that some other program requires the file.
First Time Installation:
1) Download the utility program by clicking the WINSETUP link, below
2) Save the winsetup.exe into your PAR\TEMP directory.
3) Return to the desk top and click START, RUN, and in the Run Dialog box, type: C:\PAR\TEMP\WINSETUP.EXE <enter>
4) Run Par, choose System Parameters, Printer Setup and set the 'Windows or Network printer option to 'Y'.
Winprint Update:
Click the
WINPRINT link and save the
winprint.exe file in the PAR directory.
Overwrite the existing file.
